Quick question. I have a SBC with a TH400 and a slip yoke 208. Other than driveshaft and cross member modifications, will it fit in my 70 Blazer. I ask because I tried a 203 awhile back only to find put it wouldnt clear the floor cross member. I don't want to modify the body other than holes for the shifters.

I believe it should, the 208 case is smaller than the 205 which fits.
you might have somedrive shaft mods

When I first built my blazer I had a 465/208 cant remember for sure but all the combos are usually within an inch or so for total length. I have and 8" lift and it was a 28" long driveline. it bound up just sitting there. if you are stock hieght you may be fine.
If you end up doing this I still have the driveline balanced and i believe they are 1330 u-joints it was a 3/4ton driveline.

Thanks gents. Stock height (maybe 2" lift). 1/2 ton gear. It's my daughters project and she won't be wheeling hard. My TBI donor truck has the 400/208 combo. Its tempting to just keep it all together and hope it fits ok. Otherwise I've got a 350/205 sitting in it. The th350 is of unknown history though.

I would honestly go with the 350/205 if you already have it. My 400/208 took a considerable chunk of power away when I swapped mine in.
