Will LT1 with 700R4 fit with my 72 K5 4x4?

I have a chance to purchase an LT1 and 700R4 that was in a 1995 Caprice police car. It's complete with harness and computer. $700 for the entire thing.

My truck is a 1972 Blazer with a 350 small block and T350 tranny. 4WD. No air. Titled as "Historic" so no inspection or smog stuff needed.

I have been researching fuel injection and came across this LT1 setup. My question is...will this setup work in my truck and what mods will I need such as drive shafts , etc...

Be careful and run the numbers on the motor first , there are guys out there that will sell you a L99 4.3 out of a caprice and say its an LT1

( it makes more power than a carbed 305 though )

I work for the local sheriff's office and know the deputy who's cruiser the engine and trans came out of. The seller is one of the mechanics who worked on the car. Not a bad source...huh??

few problems to over come. p/s pump if i recall wrong side. tons of diffrent coolent hose routings with remote resivor. and pass side motor mount is 3 boss on block to alow flip 180 of stock mount to bolt to frame and then use 1st frt boss hole to bolt front drive acc bracket to. and then need bypass of some kind for no a/c pump or notch frame rail possible.

and all this and in 4x4 use with water the opti spark dont like that water stuff. and lt1 like to be reved up to built power . 4x4 needs bottom end power. i know a guy who swaped 1 in a 95 truck. then wished he had not done it.
