Winch bumper pics

It's looking like ORD may be the way to go for the prerunner style. I am liking that tire carrier Wheels87

tire carrier bumpers are the way to go! check out offroadltd's. tire carrier+hilift carrier+two jerry can carrier for a pretty reasonable cost considering all the functionality youre getting.

if you are looking for a full coverage front bumper, I dont think you are going to do better than ORD. full front, skid plate, spots for d-rings...:waytogo:

I wish I had a pair of Warn Classic or the similar Ramsey bumpers…one for my K10 and another for the Burb. Ya, there are better and stronger bumpers out there but I want something light and period correct for the old square body style. Some of these new CAD designed and plasma cut bumpers are a bit over the top, look heavy and cost entirely too much. Maybe I am just getting old or something.

This is my rear winch bumper/tire carrier and fuel can holder that buddy and I cobbled together. Exactly, depending on your purpose depends on the need for a tire carrier. Where else would I put this crap if it wasn’t hanging on the bumper? The way to stop people from stealing stuff off the carrier is to not let the truck out of your sight ever. This truck is always within sight….within sight of my gun scope that is. :haha:

that's a sweet truck Larry!

My spare has super special locking lugnuts to keep it from getting stolen and when I choose to carry cans they'll have a locked chain.

It's also worth noting that the tire carrier bumper from offroadltd can have the tire carrier removed simply by pulling the pin out if you didn't want it on. :waytogo:

Thanks kis2,

Mine has locks holding the tire on as well. They just weren’t in the mock up photo above. This how it looks today other than I have removed the steel winch cable and replaced it with Viking synthetic rope with a thimble. The Trasheroo covers the spare tire locking nuts. The tan Sceptor cans are fuel while the blue jug is extra water for showers, cooking, doing dishes, etc. I can pull off the can carrier by pulling the spindle nut off and sliding a cover over the spindle, which I never do as the truck isn’t used for anything else other than back country adventures. One thing I am not fond of is how the basket covers up too much of the tail light. Gonna fix that soon.

Just got a hold of James at RLCWeldFab. He is going to build me a Front w/Hoop, Rear and slide rails for my Burban. Great guy and great prices. Cant wait to get it and my new Warn VR12000.

Here's mine from Diy4x. The first two pic's are what it looked like when I got it and then after my additions.

Front bumper has a Warn VR12000 with cover.

Rear bumper has a full size spare with cover. The tire carrier has 4 studs and I drilled a hole in one of them and put a small padlock in it.

thank ya sir... :D

for as much as I like the looks/lines of the outside, skid, how all the aesethics turned out, the thing I'm real happy with is the mounting, 22 bolts, b-52's incorporated, stout x's eleventy......

tho for the Mutt, that will get something similar to Kert's Gauntlet with a bit of tube on top...

ryoken, been enjoying your builds for some time.....you, sir, are an artist. Love your work and teachings.

nvrenuf, they are diy4x sliders. Just added pics to build thread.

And I really like the look of your blazer too... nice job on it man! :thumb:

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned BuckStop Bumpers yet. They're pricey but strong enough to stop small cars with minimal damage to the bumper.
