Winch bumper pics

ryoken, been enjoying your builds for some time.....you, sir, are an artist. Love your work and teachings.

willie

thanks! :D

really miss working on the K5, the projects/engineering/design work is so much fun.. but Mutt needs to get up to snuff before I get back on it....

what's the total lift/tire specs on your rig?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned BuckStop Bumpers yet. They're pricey but strong enough to stop small cars with minimal damage to the bumper.

I have a guy locally with a Dodge with one... it's a good looking bumper... it's just a bit "big" for me, like it could use an inch or 2 shave here and there... little diet... ;)

but I like the styling... guys dodge is white, and the bumper is freakin like chevy/hugger orange.... :eek1: it looks great with the white tho! :haha:

That is my only gripe about them. They're really heavy and some have said that approach angle needs to be changed to account for the extra length. I'm not into rock crawling though, mostly trails and I like the fact that you can drive through a brick wall with one of these bad boys on.

yup, just seem a tad bulky... but that's just from an asthetic point of view... bet they're at least a grand too...

for the square-ish looking stuff, I dig Kert's Gauntlet.. for tube, I definitely like ORD's offering.. good styling...

I can prostitute myself with the best whores! :pimp:

I forgot yours was mounted down low like that, just gave me an idea of how to connect the bottom of my winch plate :pimp:

I'm not making my bumper removable though

yeah, mines no picnic to pull when the truck is together, 22 bolts plus the springs and rad support, but it is doable......

i'm getting revved up to do the rear narrow one incorporated into Mutt's tube bed... I have what i think/hope will be some cool design stuff for that..

~$1500 for the classic
+$2000 for the "Outlander" which has those nice uprights

I wonder if I Kert's bumper can survive some brick wall bashing

I could almost guarantee it would. Its pure beef.

Bumper I built a while ago. It's only held on by a couple bolts in these pics, but like 22 1/2 bolts actually bolt it to the truck.

1" body lift.

I almost bought that when you were selling it.

I'm glad Isaam let me keep it when he bought my burb. I think it will fit my 89' crew cab since the frame nose is the same.
