. I have used it everytime I have been out since I bought it( helping others too). For what I have used it for, I feel a cheaper winch would have givin up
. In certin situations the winch was the only choice and we needed it to be reliable. The WARN is still ready for more

Go with a warn winch . I see used one on CL all the time for good prices . I just seen a 8000i on there today for $300 . If I had the cash I would buy that for my jeep as my burb is way to big for a 8000lb winch . Beside's you are in Oregon and if you had a problem you can drive over to Warn in Clackamas/Milwaukie and get your part form them . They are the Best winch IMO . My nieghbor is sponserd by superwinch and could get me one near cost but I would rather have a warn . I would like to have a 12000lb warn up fron and a receiver mount 9 or 9.5 for the rear . try winchdepot.com for a new warn or CL (creigslist) or maybe ebay , good luckmrpoorboy said:know anything bad about a t-max and milemarker winches? bigger motors and half the price. or should i suck it up and buy a warn? any opinions?

No they don'tmrpoorboy said:does warn in clackamas sell out of the whse? i.e. factory store?
. you need to go through any vendor or 4x4 shop or on line places that sell warn winches . Stay away from 4wheelparts . I have seen some good deals from winchdepot.com . I have a problem with paying $150-250 more for the same winch at a 4x4 shop when I could get mine on line . I know that I'm a cheap bastid but I have to maximize more of my $$ as I have 2 4x4 rigs that have need's
.
