Also, if you buy the motor for a 9.5 XP and the correct pinion gear, you can mate it to your 8274. 9.5 XP motors are 6 hp whereas the early 8274 motors were only 2.5.

When I used to work at warn, I bought my 8274 brand new and it CAME with a 6 hp motor

My 8274-50 came with the 4.8 HP. I remember because that was touted as the big improvement.

I'm pretty sure the new ones are sold with 4.8's and old ones (mine) are 2.5's
