My passenger window died on me this morning. I have seen where some of you have put in motors from newer models. Does this work better than finding one from my year? I've got at least a few days to fix it, it only rains on the weekends in north Alabama!

I know just enough to know that I'll never know enough.

My motors got wet somehow, and went out. I just finished converting them to manual yesterday, an I love it now.

Actually it is quite easy to repair the motors, just remove it and take it apart and clean everything. Even at 16 years the motors do not see that much running time so the parts do not wear all that much, most of the time a motor will quit because of corrosion or because the window itself has become hard to push. Save some money and fix it yourself...
