I was thinking of having my Blazer's window tinted including the shells windows.

Any thoughts? Pros and Cons?

In the summer, in Arizona when parked I have window shades I tape up on the shells side windows to keep the damn sun from beating the hell out do the interior. I use old towels held up in the driver and passenger side windows to keep the sun out. I also tire covers I use as well to help with dry rot from the sun pounding on my truck.

I think window tint would look good on the blazer but what are some negatives?

I tint all of my vehicles windows. I have driven heavy wreckers and such with tinted windows.
The only drawback that I have encountered is backing up at night. With good reverse lighting, it isn't too bad, IMO, until it rains. Then I roll the windows down if there is any glare from inside lights, like the dash and radio.

I like the look personally, but having my Dad tell me to save my skin from the sun after he had cancer areas removed, added another aspect.
The decrease in temperature is noticeable.

Definitely for our desert climate. Make sure you get ceramic.

Yeah, I wonder if it can be done via mobile, ie. They come to my house
I would be concerned about the quality of the job. I have seen the results of dust contamination when it was in their shop. They did fix it, but I would imagine that it would be more difficult in the open to get a spotless result.

Just get the good stuff so it doesn't end up looking purple. If you dare you can buy precut tint kits off ebay and such and just do it yourself. It's pretty easy if the windows are not curved and needing to be heated and shrunk. Much easier to pay a professional though.

Yeah I thought about that but I'd rather a pro do it... I'm browsing around for mobile tint company.

Depending on cost I may just have the Blazer done with ceramic tint.

Yeah I don't have mud flaps. I don't even know where to get them or what brand fits a blazer
Suggestions for mud flaps ?

If the store will do the entire front window, it is crazy worth it. Also, you’re not getting pulled over for the front and they aren’t checking. Just do a light shade. It helps at daytime but it SUPER helps at night, no cons.

The cap sides you can go dark. The rear window I would stay light so you can see out of. The side windows, if you’re taking the chance, should stay light as well. Been there, done all the wrong before lol. My Nova came with limo in the back, 50% on the front doors. I hate it, can’t see out the back window and looks dumb.

I would recommend ceramic tint. Huge difference in heat. You can get it clear to dark.
I have 20% ceramic on all windows and a 70% ceramic on the windshield.
everybody who rides in my vehicles will go have the windshield done.

Looks like 35% reflective tint is legal in AZ on front windows. reading the statute is not easy. Need a lawyer to translate, they do that crap on purpose

edit: front side windows

In CA basically no tint is allowed on front 3.
But I will defend, windshield is worth doing if any other window is done.

Beyond that, most cars now don’t have the top ribbon anymore. So dumb it’s gone. That helps too.

Blazer doesn’t have visors anymore. This was a HUGE help!
