Wipers Are Weak...it\'s snowing

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif My windshield wipers only go half way and get stuck, if I help them with my hand they will go all the way and go back down. Then go up and stick. When they are stuck the motor sounds like it is grinding. When the wipers were working they were really slow in the snow and sometimes would even stop. So I think all I need is a new wiper motor and some blades /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i think its just a wiper motor. autozone wants $48

Check for 12v+ with the wipers on at the motor, also check you ground from the motor.

All I have in my town is Kragen (the k-mart of part stores) and NAPA ( Need Another Part A$$h@le) anyways NAPA wants $55 for one.

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Is there any tricks to taking off the little panel to get to the wiper linkage??? Other than little bolts? Thanx guys /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

68$ new wiper motor and it works fine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. The squirters still don't work though??????????????????????????????????????????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

check your switch, Looking at the motor from the front of the truck the wire on the top right is the squiters and needs to be grounded to work, you can do this to test it. (this is for a 1983) i dont know about the other years
