wish me luck on installing lift...before pics

I know it sounds crazy but honestly i only use a full 10 pound sledge hammer when removing those arms. I beat it from the front of truck swinging towards the rear horizontally and hit what would be the forward most point of the "U".

Thanks for the advice guys, I have replaced steering arms on both my previous Jimmys but this one just will not budge and I got tired of fighting it when I have other options. The lift is only 3" so I just ordered the pitnam arm yesterday for $92 shipped. offroad design uses this for their 3" kit so thats good enough for me.

I got the drop pitnam, now as long as my puller can remove the factory pitnam I will be fine.

If you are able to aim, you ain't hitting it hard enough!

sig worthy lmao.

But seriously, the arm was a bitch and a half for me too. We used a torch to heat it up, seemed to help. After the torch went on, it only took about 15 minutes to get it off, compared to the 2 hours before that.

what's up with the rim clearcoat issue?
I sent the wheel back to him yesterday for him to strip and refinish

A torch would have been very nice to have througout this entire process, I'm definately buying me one soon.

Lot of work but payed off, looks good.
What size are your old wheels? Are you interested in recouping a bit of your wheel costs?

Thanks its getting there

factory aluminum wheels are 15x7 with new 31x10.50, but I also have a set of 15x8 ralleys

Finally got the wheels mounted on the tires during lunch from work today....wont be long now. I sat a hubcap on there just to show what it will look like.
