wish me luck on installing lift...before pics

Havent had a chance to drive it much yet to test the shocks, but what little I did it seemed to be fine. I hope you do have as much trouble as I had and learn from this thread what to expect. The drop pitnam was perfect for this size lift, my steering angle is great.

well hell 88, thanks for the well wishes...........hmm

i've done enough lifts for myself and others over the years so i know what's in store. now i'm just older and more beat up so i have to contend with the pain crawling around like a bug as usual:D

on the tires i run 25 psi in the front and 20 in the rear.seems to be the right pressure to make a nice even mark in the tread.loooks real good now that you got it all together.

LOL.....I have done a few too but this one almost kicked my arse...maybe age was the factor with me as well :dunno:

hey s bill
for what its worth I really think, from the tone of all his posts, he meant to type "don't" instead of "do"
LOL....I just went and reread my post....bailey is right, I meant I hope you DONT run into the same issues I had...sorry about that, hell I wouldnt wish that on anyone here :doah:

ha ha....i figured that. that's why i put the blue face thing there. i know i'll have fun though. my truck lived it's whole life on the street in NYC, even the rust is rusty.

Dayum........That is a sweet looking rig.

Next will be axle swap......more lift......bigger tires......crossover steering....

There's no escaping it. :waytogo:

+ 1 blazin .... I think I'm at 20K in the last year since I got mine.... and keep adding to it daily .....

today - new coil, cap, etc = $100 +

tomorrow - who knows ? but Im sure it will be something...

Well my most costly mod was my one ton swap I had to pay for on my 1st k5 that cost me $2500, which cost $9786.xx for the swap...that's what happens when u have to pay a California shop to do the swap...2nd most expensive mod wad the new motor in my 2nd k5 and that was $3800...but at least what I spend can b reused as I go...now I need to get new 6" springs, hydro steer, full cage, seats, and 42's...after that I'll b half way thru, I think...lol...I'm thinkin another $10,000-$15,000 should b jus about rite...
