I ordered my 4.5" flip and switch shackle flip from Kert last week. After all the good feedback on here about him I'm glad I did. His products look really stout and well built. Said he got hit hard the 2 weeks before Memorial Day but he's getting mine out asap. Great customer service!

Minor Hijack - Can the DIY4X flip brackets be swapped R to L for longer springs like the ORD ones? I can't image why they wouldn't, but I thought I'd ask. Also what is the difference in pinion angle between ORD and DIY4X. Any?

What about a home made shackle flip?

Yes, they can be switched from side to side. Not sure on the pinion angle, but I would assume that they would be very similar.

I have the sky flips and they're ok. I got a great deal on them a couple of years ago when Sky was having a sale. But DIY4X's stuff looks good....

Have the SKY flip. Really beefy ! At the time (3 years ago) I did not know of DIY4X. The SKY flip was cheaper than ORD, So that sold me. ORD shackles are very beefy too. And fit well.

This is an old post but since it's been brought back from the dead I voted for the ORD kit.

The DIY4X kit looks great too though so either one. Both companies have great customer service and I am a happy customer of them both.

This is installed on the opposite side with 56" springs:

It could be the angle of the picture, but it looks like you could use a longer shackle.

On the shackle flip, I bought ORDs and am very happy with there set-up and service. I'd like to try DIY4Xs as well. I suspect they are both very good choices. And they are both members of this site so it is a tie in my book. The only difference I can think of is that ORD offers a 2.5" shackle flip so that it does not hang down quite so much, especially with stock 64" springs. I imagine that Kert at DIY4X would build a set of those as well since he does custom work.

Yeah, I could use a little longer shackle but I'll wait until I get the 60 installed up front and see how close the front and rear lifts match up.

It's not quite as bad as it looks in the pic though.

I resurrected an old design and made a few improvements to it:

I wasn't worried about the strength of the stock mounts. There is a lot of metal and ribbing in them and Pauly has wheeled a similar setup for years with zero problems. I do need to either reinforce the stock shackle or make new ones.

The Echobit-type flip adds more lift than the bolt-on shackle flips, but I decided I like the resulting stance:

It has actually settled down a bit since this pic was taken. One thing about this flip - if I decide I would rather have lift springs it is really easy to undo :D
