Wait, you got stopped in NE for not having a front plate with CA tags?

How does that work?

I'm running IL and TX tags here in CA on three trucks. None of them have front plates, all are required....and I haven't even been stopped in IL or TX with them.:haha:

Awesome post!

I've seen that K5 a few times here in the Antelope Valley. I live 12 miles North from where you picked your K5 up from.

How much gas did you burn on the trip home?

cool pictures!! I've wheeled with that blazer many times. It's kinda fun to watch it's new adventures with it's new owner.:thumb:

Cool pics. Wait.....They have hills in Nebraska???

Yes they do. Interstate 80 follows the Platte River Valley. The same path the pioneers took across Nebraska. The reason they followed that path was because it was the easiest way. That is why everyone who drives through Nebraska thinks it is a flat state. Of course it is flat along the river bottom. I take it you have never been to the sandhills? Every time I hear a joke about Nebraska being flat, I want to ask that person to come run a tractor across the land we farm.

Thank you. As for the gas, probably $500 worth??? It would have been cheaper to have it shipped, but what fun would that be???

That looks like a fun trip. It's been awhile since anyone has done a road trip like that and posted about it.

Awesome...just awesome! Always cool to have a camera buff along for the trip, and it looks like it was a fun trip!
