New body mounts from LMC showed up today.

Hopefully the ORD body lift shows up tomorrow.

Well yeah, but you don't have any tire clearance issues do you?

Edit: quick post got me. I forgot you were clocking the case.

I got out three of the four cab body mounts without having any issues.

The rear passenger side one decided to snap off about halfway out.

So I made a few measurements and attacked the back of the cab with a hole saw. I was off, by a bit. Not bad side to side, but front to back was not good. So I cut again.

That damn body mount nut sits in a fairly narrow channel......

So I have some welding to do tomorrow.

I was able to salvage the body mount nut, by threading a 1/2" nut onto the bit of stock body mount bolt still protruding through the nut, and then welding the nut to the bolt. The first weld didn't hold, but with the second one, I was able to screw the broken bolt right through the nut, and out the top.

I took no pictures, as it was dark. Possibly tomorrow. Hopefully the ORD parts show up.

I've never had the joy of cab bolts coming out...they always snap as my luck would have it

I did one way back in high school in good ole rusty Wisconsin and I pounded the broken body bolts up to dent the floor so I would know where they were. Then I cut it out like you did and just ran some long bolts and some 4"x4" square washers on top of the floor. Worked pretty good for a high school kid that had no access to welding/fab stuff. Oh and I also made body mounts out of hockey pucks from a used sporting goods store. Glad I've moved on from those kinda repairs.
