Deciding what I want to do. Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.

And its not slippery! And you can screw stuff into it, when moving things other than your truck.

Like cabinets.

Or wood blocking to help anchor cargo.

You can lay on a wood deck after it's been in the sun. I dare you to do it with a steel deck

Well I'm custom making the fenders to drive over and am going to use diamond plate and thought why not just make the whole damn thing diamond plate. But wood is simple. I like simple

Im gonna say steel just to make you guys upset.... oh and you would NEVER need to replace boards or recoat them with something. One less thing to maintain. And who lays on a trailer in the sun or doesnt where shoes while loading something on the trailer?

i would think wood would be lighter.
plus, one thing i like about wood is you can screw in wheel chocks ( i think that was said already) and other custom touches depending on the load.

what happens when the paint gets worn off from driving on it, then you need to recoat it! or it'll rust.

I wouldnt paint the topof it. Unless hes draggin it around all through winter salt, but even then if its thick enough, it would take a long time to rust out. I would do wood myself , i just felt like making an argument lol.

the only advantage I see with metal deck is the dragging of cars/trucks with no axles for transport, or the general dragging of anything heavy will be easier on a metal deck. If you have a oil leak, its easier to clean up on the metal deck as well.

And, you can provide HOURS of entertainment, for your friends....

"Hey ____, remember when you were slipping around yer trailer,
like, 'Mo from the Stooges, cuz you didn't see that oil... " :haha:
