Work In Progress -- S10-K5 Vortec

so are you goin for rocks or mud or just all around trail riding

It is going to be pretty much all around trail riding, but a lot of rocks. I am not a big mud person, but I like when there is mud to make the obstacles harder.

Update, I drove it yesterday after rewiring the fans over and over... turned out i had the relays wired wrong (i feel like an idiot). I took it down the road, turned around, put it in 2 wheel low, headed back up the road and gunned it, then shifted to second and chirped the tires. I love this thing! One downside though, I got back to the driveway and it was running very hot. After looking at it, i found that the top hose i could not keep my hand on (roughly 250 degrees) and the bottom hose was not even warm... sounds like a bad thermostat (the heater core hoses were hot as well, which are before the thermostat). I am going to replace it after work today and we will see how it goes again.

sweet .....would of been a little nice if the camera man was behind you while you was taking off ......just cause it sounds nice and "throtty" ...if thats a word

man, i actually had my sister taping it and she did a piss poor job. It was the best I could get at the time. When i get 4 wheel drive working (gotta grind my yokes for clearance) i will get some better videos. Obviously you have been following and so far the 2 camera people i have had are terrible. One was filming me while starting my truck, and my sister didnt know what she was doing.

yeah i seen them both ....the one that was filming your face was funny ... i laughed my a** off ....but yeah im more than interested...im goin to be doin my 5.3 iand i need some guidance and real feed back how the 5.3 is on torque wise

Sorry guys, been so busy with work and all lately, havent been able to get much done. I did do a swap to the 63 inch springs from a 95, so one major thing was completed. I liked this swap personally because in my situation, it moved the rear axle back away from my cab. I may look into swapping to a nice set of 52's instead of the 63's just because they are so long and my rear bumper bottoms out now in ditches/crevices. I also have a lack of pictures, not sure where they all went....

Springs mount.

Welded up, flexing a little. More flex than I had before going forward, gonna try backwards in a couple days to see how much it helped.

Here is a little video i took with my phone after I got it finished. Nothing special, I definitely need more weight and better tires :-)
