I don't hardly have any of the rubber parts for my 1974 Blazer...they are just about all going to have to be replaced.

I am a little more than shocked at the price of rubber parts....

I can't afford to go wrong with the purchase of this stuff, so I'd like to here you experiences with whatever brand you installed and where you got it.

Does anybody carry a complete kit that you might get cheaper than one at a time?

What did you get?

Where did you get it?

Did it fit or not?

Comment....

I'll start...

I got the vent window seals from www.truckandcarshop.com

I was happy with the way they fit...overall...obviously I haven't driven with them in yet so I don't know if they whistle or leak yet...

Hadn't even heard of the company,As for my 84 I got all my top seals from classic parts and was happy with them as long as I sat them in the hot sun for a bit before soaking in hot water(just began to boil) then installing.

When I gathered all the weatherstripping for my full convert conversion 10 yrs ago I believe I got them from two different companies, Cheyenne pickup parts and Chevy Duty. It seems as though Chevy Duty has turned into Classic Parts since then as far as I can tell, but I don't know. Can't tell you about the fit though since I never did the conversion, still have all the parts though. I got the inner and outer windshield to top, door glass to top, upper rubber door caps, lower plastic door caps, bed rails, and the seal that goes in the top where the window slides into. All in all, if I remember correctly, it was about $450. LMC was never a consideration for these parts. Any way, here are some other places that sell the weatherstripping that I found when I was hunting for parts, maybe they'll be of some use to you.

cheyennepickup.com
classicparts.com
brotherstrucks.com
classicindustries.com
soffseal.com (don't know if they have any full top specific parts but seems like good quality)

I bought all my weatherstripping from Classic Parts. I can't remember what thread I read it on, but LMC weatherstripping was not up to par.

It's all very pricey, but I bought the kits from Classic Parts, and think I saved some $$, Their shipping was good I can say that for them. The did forget to include the new vent window handles, and a ten minute phone call later that was solved, and they came in the mail like 3-4 days later.

my LMC stuff fit alright, but man its a pain in the ass without taking the windows out... i used alot of WD-40 and needle nose pliers and pulled/pushed/screamed/lubed em in

My glass is all out so that won't be an issue...I just want best fit to oem...

I just did mine with LMC too, so I feel you. They fit ok...not perfect, but it works. Windows are super tight. I have a question...on the front windows, on the channel that backs up to the vent window, did you smash the stripping ALL the way in the channel, or is there a lip sticking out? I noticed that with the lip out, the stripping wasn't seated all the way. With the stripping fully seated and flush, like factory, the window is REALLY tight. I hope it all breaks in well...let me know how you did it!

I replaced my passenger side window with stuff from Cheyenne. Extremely tight. Like I can't roll down my window tight (power windows). I had replaced the window at the same time because some jerk threw a rock through it, so there may be some issue with the placement of that, too, I guess. I've been meaning to mess with it more to see if I could get it working better, just haven't gotten to it.

Subscribed. I bought one seal from classic parts, the lower top seal, it fit pretty good with some weatherstrip adhesive to hold it in place while we put the top on. No leaks so im happy.
