Worst bolts to get at on a square body ?

Bell housing bolts.

Easy with a body lift. But those two always give me a hard time. Especially getting the one back in along with the tranny dipstick tab.

I've had my trans out like 4 or 5 times now.

The best way to attack those is to remove the trans cross member and lower the back end of the trans down some. This rotates the back of the motor down about an inch. With the motor and trans in that position I use 2 inch 1/2 extensions with a swivel on the end and a socket. Connect that to 1/2 air gun set on #2 and zip them out. Putting them back in is pretty easy. You can get your hand up between the trans and the tunnel to start them.

That is where mountains are great on the west coast, I can visit snow if I feel like it, but my trucks don't rust out from under me if I do.

I know. Someday we might move out there (though we probably wouldn't go any further than NW Montana or the Idaho panhandle). For now we're happy in Yooperland (with our 1200' mountains ;)).

Getting back to the worst bolts to get at theme--

I also think the screws holding the side pillar mouldings around the windshield are a suck pill to get at too..ditto for the speaker screws in the front dash--has anyone sucessfully installed a speaker in these trucks without puncturing the cone ?...:doah:...I think I did ONCE..

Another contender for worst bolt to remove category has to be seat belt bolts--torx heads, locktite that wont release,I think I have torn the floor out of a half dozen trucks and busted off 100 torx bits trying to get those out, even with the aid of torches and heat...
