Worst Day Ever Pics (post 'em up!)

Alright enough hijacking

Here's my buddy's worst day(s) ever:

about three hours with a hi-lift and we got out. (no other trucks around)

And his last trip out was a bad one as far as body damage goes. Before this trip he only had one small dent on the entire jeep.

This was from a low lying tree branch:

And these were from various other trees.

That's pretty bad tree damage. I swear trees do just as much, if not more damage than rocks somedays. Looks like he could have used an exo-cage before all that carnage. Not really a point anymore.

A long, cold, wet day at the Hummer proving grounds in Indiana. The Indiana four wheel drive winter convention. Frozen ground turned to mush. Moved my winch from front to rear (that was fun in knee deep water). Bad grounding keep me from winching backwards. Finally able to position another truck behind on high ground and able to back out.

I laugh everytime I see that. it's better then a chop since I made that face, and I am IN the engine bay.

Yea He wants to get one but doesnt have the $. He needs to upgrade his axles too. Just doesnt know which one to do first

I can assure you if he upgrades his axles and adds lockers there will be no point in doing any sort of body protection.

This happened when a lady in a minivan decided that it wasn't her responsibility to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of me. Worst part was I had just finished the 91 front end upgrade. Had to have a lawyer call and threaten her insurance company because even though she got a ticket for running a stop sign and was clearly put at fault in the police report, until she admitted fault her insurance company couldn't settle the deal

Not my K5... But it was a bad day.. I had just finished putting the engine and tranny in this explorer about three weeks before this.. Then a nice Az desert snow storm rolls in and I end up being car number 4 in a 14 car pile up... Gotta love the desert! The green one is mine. The red one is the one we hit and the white one hit me... The little brown car in front of the explorer was in there somewhere too.

So far I think that the theft and strip is the worst of the worst. I don't have any pictures but, my 85 burned up on the side of a freeway. My wife and kids were with me. It was late at night. Oh, did I forget to mention that I was towing a 20ft trailer with all of our stuff on it. We were moving to Az. That kind of threw a kink in my plans. Oh well! Live, learn, and get another truck (or two ) as soon as you can.

I just read this, wasn't there a pic of this in one of the 4wd mags?

After limping home i was running my SBC on 4 cylinders.

here's a few goodies i found inside the motor.

yeah that sucks.. I rembember turning my wheel at a red light.. hit the gas and had a pop in the carb... well 3 weeks later I tell my dad that the truck isnt running right... so we go look.. he said my lifters are loose.. that is odd.. so I take the covers off and we start to adjust them and viola.... 2 rods through the rockers!!!!! fuzed to them too!!!!

also one night wife got the truck stuck and I got it out (with alot of thin pedal as front dshaft was broke) from then on had a knock... wrist pin (sp?)
anyway went to pull a bud out of a mudhole 3 months later.... backup... lunge forward... BANG... backup lung forward..> BANG.... KABOOOOM!!!!
errr. oil drop to 0 and shut the truck off...
well turns out I lost a piston right through the oil pan!!!! OUCH!!! chunk out of the crank too!!!!!

maybe 10,000 miles on it...

I had to come up behind him and tow him out as he was taking on water.. he was stuck but I think only because of no lockers..

although he trashed the trans... had to do trail oil change (we were clean and took it with us ) and he had to rip the carpet out and rain it out...
