trade my 1 ton locked lifted 86 k5 for a 68 big block 4 speed vette?

always wanted one, saw one on craigslist and i dont know if he would be open for trades for a k5 but the car is in decent shape and a perfect starter for me.

am i crazy?

Not crazy at all vettes are expensive with enough scrounging and patience you can build a blazer for not all that much. Not compared to what a nice 68 is going to cost

I would do it. Dont think the vette owner will go for it, but its worth a try :waytogo:

In a heartbeat! You can always find a mid 80's Blazer. How many 68 Vettes do you see running around?

67 vette, I would do it in a heartbeat. 68 though, wouldnt do it. I just dont care for that body style at all. Just my opinion

68 vettes had way more issues compared to the 69+....also watch out for frame rot, especially in front of the rear tires where the frame kicks up for the rear suspension.
Thats just the beginning of a list of sh!t to look for in any of the 63-80's.

I myself own a 1976 vette and the worst thing so far for me has been frame cracks, especially up front. I have found and repaired three so far. The rest of the front end is basic to service. The rear is a pia including the hubs to service. Motor is basic. Interiors are freaking expensive to replace.

I would do it! Love the old shark style vettes, especially with a 4 speed. But yes the speeding tickets. I would have to go do rallys or something so I wouldn't get in trouble.

No that's not it, the one I looked at was red and had no price on it, the guy was from Wyoming also.

I drool over that one every time I see it
