for my 2011 Harley Softail Deluxe with 8k miles.

The k5 has a newer vortec engine with full exhaust, the top is in good shape and he has a trailer load of extra parts. Rust free body and frame, had a crack around steering box but has been repaired and has a ORD brace kit.

also, 2000.00 my way on the trade?

worth it?

Looks like the interior was updated to the 85 year also. No ac and no serpentine belt setup. Looks like it has cruise.

I have no clue how much the bike is worth. But if you want the blazer + your getting 2k your way, I'd say that sounds good.

Gives you some cash to fix some stuff but it does look nice

Tough call. I got rid of mine to get the truck I have now. I miss the bike but I also have a bike that I get to ride for work.. if that truck is as clean as it looks, it would be a good deal.

I've got my 78, I'd be putting it up for sale.

I've really always wanted a full top. I'd sell the 78 and put the money into paint on this and a few other things. I got married last year and the wife won't ride with me, got a 6 yr old that loves riding in the 78 right now. I figure I can always buy another bike, full top blazers are getting scarce and are either basket cases or out of my cash price range usually. I may also have opportunity to buy a slightly damaged (fell over in trailer) 99 roadking classic for almost nothing.

sounds like your mind is already made up; go for it!

Cycles are fine in fair weather--but trucks can be driven no matter what the weather is....cant plow with a motorcycle very good either!..you'll probably live longer in a truck too...4 wheels beat 2 any day in my opinion..

I agree with the notion to ditch the scooter. It's a nice one don't get me wrong, but this is a much better idea than chopping the roof off of your existing K5.

If the wife don't want to ride on the bike then it's an easy decision to make. Happy wife, happy life right? The whole family can go on adventures in this one. I like the updated interior too. Looks good.

I'm not a bike person sooooo.......

More fun with the kid in the K5 and the Squares are coming into there own.

Went and drove it today, the owner is a real nice guy. Drives perfect, it's got a readhead steering box, ORD brace installed. Factory tach, a pretty serious stereo and some odds and ends not mentioned in the ad. Brand new .30 over vortec 350 with a mild cam, plenty of power. New clutch and a sm465/np203 with a part time kit. Mechanically it's basically done. It could use some better shocks.

Rocker boxes and area above them are good I tapped around and looked real close, just a couple small spots of surface rust and that's it. Maybe a 3" lift at best. Brand new tires, powder coated rallys and great caps.

It's basically if someone took a really nice 75, put most of a 85 Silverado K5's interior and front clip on it.

Looks like it's coming home with me in two weeks.

I'm excited. Wife not so much because she's attached to the 78, haven't really decided what to do with it yet, may sell to fund paint job or may keep for his and hers rigs.
