nothing about this article seems to make it look like it was all that tough, except maybe the temperature, and perhaps getting your vehicle to chile...

Well my dad has an 06 unlimited rubicon, and im getting "Rubicon Recovery Vehicle" or team or truck or something like that to put on my chevy

i believe a stock jeep in the hands of a skilled driver can do great wheeling, but i suspect that even a stock blazer w/ lockers woulda done just fine.

looking at the terrain I would also have to say that the altitude would be the only real challenge. Might not even need lockers through stuff like that, fuel injection would be a big plus though. Carb could do it if you brought a good assortment of rods and jets.

reason i said lockers is because of the glaciers that they crossed. i think the two hardest parts would probably be the altitude and the temp (-30*)... unless i kept my diesel running thru the whole trip (5 days) i'm not sure it would start up too well. :) might have to bring a little bbq and get some coals under the engine at nite! :D

You guys need to read the Pirate thread. Their gear was packed up the mountain by Dodge Rams. When the VW cute 'ute did it last year, the gear was brought up by Toyotas.

haha, my sticker on my tailgate says: I don't care about your "Jeep Thing"... as long as mail is on time.
