lol... the only feed back I am getting is Kristian asking.."Shawn why is this blazer slower? Is something wrong? I thought it had a new motor?

to which I replied....

"no..it is a new paper weight" /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

ccc carbs started on 1985 and up K5 Blazers. They work great for about the first couple of years, but then once a little age and mileage are in place they faulter. Then they take on a whole new and more useful multiple faceted application. Door stops, Trash can weights, Small boat anchor's, Targets, Magnesium fire starters, etc. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif

Maybe 1985 and up CA Blazers, but not all. Just a minor point of correction.

Pauly says he has it on his Arizona truck.

I have the ESC (removed) there are all the spots on fuse box for ccc , but never had the carb half of it.So I would assume CA had it as early as my 83. I still have my ESC distributor in my garage. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Yeah I don't doubt that it could be sold in other states, just that in CA it was mandatory (for certain vehicles) by at least 1985...other states could have a "regular" carb up until at least '86, but I *think* the parts manual shows one for a 454 in 1988 or '87.
