Our trucks are definitely worth FAR less than they were before the gas prices increasing 3-4 years ago and the economy falling shortly afterward.

I bought Big Ugly for $7500 in late 2006. At the time a fair price for a mostly rust free 55,000 mile M1008 K30 that was all original other than 36" tires.
Last summer I sold it for $4750 and was GLAD to get it. People told me to part it because I'd never see 2 grand for it.

The area doesn't help either. kennyw got me my Blazer for $1800 in Seattle two years ago now. In Michigan, as economically depressed or worse than the PNW, the truck would have gone for twice that easily. Road salt and rot killed them off long ago and mine is 95% rust free. Has NO structural rust at all.

Met a local with a 60,000 mile '89 Jimmy K5 this weekend. Nice guy but hadn't kept up on the prices. Was genuinely surprised when I told him how far the values had fallen.

Oh, and skip the rusty stuff in Oregon. Talk to the guys in Arizona or a more rust free market. Shawn (supersize) has put up some links to rust free stuff going for stupid cheap many times over the last few years.

I sold mine for $6100, considering the parts that were in it that's DIRT cheap! But, the guy that bought it loves it so, I am glad it went to a good home!

Drool indeed! I doubt it will work out, mostly on my end, but i asked him if he was interested in trade for my blazer.

If by "give" you mean "sell" then that could be arranged. But not until after i were to get this one. And i think yellowk20 has first dibs on it so far.

Lol! No worries man. If I got another truck I'd have to live it cause the misses woulds kick me out. I do love the 78-79 rigs for some reason

im surprised you havent looked at that. or are you lookin for a newer truck with more inside room?

Ended up getting the misses a commuter car. And sense my 3/4 ton isn't selling- cause one tons are going for less:doah: i'm stuck with what I got. A flat bed doesn't really work for me either. I need a truck with a canopy or a van...

Still, screaming deal for a diesel one ton 4x4
