How should I angle the shackle?
Straight up?
A little laid back toward the rear?
A little laid forward toward the engine?

Thank you,
Ed

Laid mine slightly toward the rear to combat it possibly binding during compression of the suspension. As the axle travels up those two points move closer together.

I put mine straight up per Kerts advice. That allows for movement forward under compression of the suspension and movement to the rear when dropped out.

I usually set them 90* to the upper arm but realistically they are pretty forgiving.

Of you wanted to get technical you could cycle the suspension and calculate the best spot for your particular set up.
