Wrecked 1987 K5 For Sale $700 (SOLD)

The Blazer is in Louisiana, outside of New Orleans. Buy it as a project truck (it is repairable) or buy it to part it out. Clear title will be transfered at time of sale. I don't want to take the time to part it out.

Photos taken after the accident or here:

It looks like a great fixer-upper for someone.

If things change and you part it, I would be interested in all of the hydraulic clutch pedal stuff (complete pedal assy, m/c & resv.).

You know were I stand on the parting out issue.:) Good luck with everything.

Thanks. I'll see how this goes for at least a week. If I get to the point that parting this out is the only way to move forward, I've got you covered on the hydraulic hose. Let's see what happens..

wounder how much it would cost to ship to ohio, i would be interested depending on shipping.

interested in anything in trade?? :D

or just cash?? :D

thanks :D

I assumed everyone had seen the two previous threads, dated 12/26/04, and 1/5/05. A few PM's and telephone calls from interested parties proved me wrong. I don't intend to waste anyone's time and certainly don't intend to mislead anyone. Please read the prior threads for clarification of this truck's condition. I'll cut/paste/edit a few posts from those threads to make it a bit easier for you.

"I've owned this Blazer since 12/1999. This week, Blazer hit a telephone poll. Hood and right front fender damaged and now removed. Remaining body is very good condition. Frame is now bent at leaf spring mount location, right side. Transfer case was cracked. Engine was running strong prior to accident and appears undamaged.

350 four bolt main (184,600 miles)
SM465 4 spd. (6.55:1 First Gear)
NP208 (2.61:1 Low Range) case cracked
GM Corporate 10-bolt (8.5-in. 1.28 Axle Dia. 28 Spline)

At 179,660 miles - new rear main oil seal; new clutch kit; new pilot bearing. Both trans and transfer case where inspected by transmission shop and no maintenance was required. Solid units. T case is now cracked .

Rust has been cut out and 14 gauge steel welded in, oxide primed, all seams sealed with tiger seal, and finally painted.

I had the truck inspected by the owner of a local body shop. His opinion is the front frame horns (left and right) can be straightened without difficulty and quoted a price of $600. He's allowing as much as 10 hours of work. The right spindle looks damaged."

I hope this helps.

43019 thanks, is it driveable at all?
No, not driveable. No radiator or battery. Other mechanical issues are addressed in previous threads. Probably will have a shipping quote tomorrow.

For what it's worth - I checked into shipping my 87 K5 from Louisville KY to Destin FL and I got quotes in the $600 to $750 range, provided it was drivable. Mine is.

BTW - I have it listed in this forum.

I might be interested, trying to find a good trailer and a little more money to come and get it. When I shipped my blazer from North Texas it was around $750.

I called an auto transport compnay that provide an estimate of $700-850. Couldn't get a firm quote. If you're interested in looking into this further have at it. The truck is in Slidell, LA 70458.

alright, thanks, i think i will pass, i kinda figured shipping with shipping it would be out of my price range. thanks, again

Understand the shipping dilemma. Unless your screen name is real similar to someone else, I believe you provided some advice back in 1999 as this Blazer build started.
