Yeah, I know them. I messaged Larry a little bit. I actually just went over to Alex's house this last weekend and we swapped tranny's (I had a 97 internal slave NV4500 that he needed for his Tahoe, so I took his rebuilt 95 external slave NV4500 for my project). We talked about his extra 8.1 for a while too. He really wants to get the 8.1 that he just put in his Tahoe running first and to make sure he doesn't need to rob parts off his extra one before selling it. I told him to make sure I am the first one he calls if/when he puts it up for sale. He was cool with that. I am hoping he gets the 8.1 in his Tahoe running sooner than later so I can snag that other motor off him soon
. In the meantime I'm still on the hunt.His Tahoe is looking sick with the new 3 link he is putting in it (that 3 link was the reason he had to get an internal slave 4500 cause his upper link was getting into the external slave cylinder).
I still haven't given up on the idea of ordering the Tilden Motorsports 8.1 package I mentioned above. It is quite a bit more money but saves me a bunch of time and is truly drop in ready.....I might at least wait until I see what Alex does with his extra motor before doing that though
