WTB: a good 6.2 injection pump

let me know what you have. thanks 732 966 6841

I tell you from experience get one rbuilt.
I had one rebuilt, sat on the shelf for a couple of years, sold it, and it returned as bad.
These things don't have a shelf life and if it was running no guarantee how long it will run.
I would talk to accurate diesel TIM I think is his name?

Tim is good people, I had one rebuilt by him and it was perfect.

Sucks to hear they don't have a shelf life, I have a spare sitting on a shelf here, probably safe to assume it's no good anymore now.

I don't know, you can ask sweetK30, he's the one that bought it and returned it.

I haven't even looked at it yet, but he said it was all frozen inside.
It even was filled with some fluid to keep it good, and I had to drain it when I was shipping it, and yet it still went bad.
:dunno:

yea, just looking to sell this thing really. dont want screw someone tho. i did talk to him 250 seems very fair

250 reman ?

local job to me was 450 + tax.

and i dont know what went wrong with imiceman44 pump. but the guts were frozen inside. wouldnt let any fuel go threw it at all. even sat over the weekend with fuel inside it as far as it would go and still nothing.

got old pump remaned and installed and had running in no time. so as to his pump cant say for sure.

and do you realy want a sale truck going out and coming back 2 days or so later with dead pump for used ? or bad self life ? if me i would pay few extra to know it had a fresh reman pump on it if i was buying it.

Tim's got some damn good pricing, i had mine done in the same range price wise. I recall $325 for the reman'd pump, 8 rebuilt injectors and shipping both ways.

Rene

he said 450 460 for 8 injectors, injection pump and the install kits.. not bad at all

SOunds weird man, if a fuel shop had overhauled the pump, when they calibrated it, they use "Calibrating fluid" which is designed to last just about for ever, so sitting on the shelf should be no problem - Don't throw yours away Rene, sounds more like there was a major prob with the so called reman pump to begin with - Been a Diesel mech for 30 years and Never seen a pump fail from being shelved with Call fluid

My spare pump was a take off from a good runner. Probably still half full of fuel...now most likely a paper weight.

That's what I thought, and that is why I sold it with confidence, to end up bad. :dunno:

didnt know they can go bad. i have them all over the place. dont know a thing about them.

It would have been interesting to strip that so called "Gone bad pump" down, probably find he had got some **** in the inlet line from careless fitting etc, caused the hyd head to seize up

fyi that good reman pump gone bad was me on the other end.

the whole fuel system was drained/flushed/rinsed out . then new lift pump in the system along with 2 new filters.

then 8 new injectors.

so when you try for over 2-3 hrs of everything you can to get fuel from the lines and nothings coming out. you pull the first cover to check for somthing stupid in the pump and find it frozen up and stuff dont wana move.

thats when you stop and see what the seller wants to do.

he asked me to get fresh reman pump local as we needed it to be back in service. then if it fired right up then and no problems he would refund the money. so we got the pump and less than 30 min later she was purin good and loud like a normal 6.2 motor. so he said ship it back and refund would be sent. and he did refund and make it right in the end.

so dont think it cant happen to you .
