I have the TBI sending unit and pump in perfect working order out of my 88 K5 that I would like to trade for a sending unit out of a carb equipped truck as I'm going carb in my build.

The pump and sending unit have ~94k miles on them (original equipment, low miles truck). Pics late tonight when I get home.

Or if someone has a carb unit they'd part with on the cheap, I'd look at that too.

Thanks
Chris

I posted up in your other thread.. I am interested in the whole tank if we can make shipping work. Send me yours and I'll send you mine! :D

I dont know if the unit will drop into my tank or I would go that way...

I was about to direct you to this thread in the other thread!

Shipping would be pretty steep due to size. I learned that size matters more than weight shipping things for the most part. I'm pretty sure the sending units interchange. Let's see if we can confirm that.

yea, the only other trick is that your tank is going to have baffles in it, and mine wont... but hey, beggars can't be choosers! I will do some reading on the sending units, lets see what we can come up with.

The sending units are interchangeable. Just be careful with the ground wire when removing it. Also plan to let it air dry for a few days before packing it up to ship. If there is any odor of gasoline when you show up to ship it they won't take it.

I'm leaning towards keeping my tank and just swapping sending units. I know the history of mine plus I just spent some time this weekend cleaning it up and painting it. :wink1:

If you're up for swapping sending units, you got a deal. I can ship mine out so you can do the swap immediately and then send me yours if your rig is driven often. My rig is down and will be for a while yet so I won't miss it.

Clean it off with some carb cleaner and let it sit around 3-4 days. Then just wrap the crap out of it with plastic and you should be fine. Mine package had the slightest smell of gas but you had to put your nose to it. You should be able to ship it no problem as long as you clean it off with some kind of cleaning agent.Good luck!!!

Deal with BizeeB65 not going to work as I want to keep my baffled tank. Still on the hunt.

thanks
