We had a tard diwn in Mcminnville who had a 65 chevy 4x4 truck with 4 inch blocks up front and stacked 3" and 2" blocks in back and he made his longer u bolts out of 3/4 all thread :eek1: . I kid you not ! One of my old toyota 4x4's had a home made body lift ( I didn't make it :D )made from large flat washers welded to a 3" long peice of 2" dom 1/4 wall tubing . At least it had grade 8 bolts . I have a 71 chevy 4x4 sitting in my back yard thats wrecked and belongs to a buddy . It's got 4 " blocks stacked with 2 1/2 " traction / lift bars under the rear springs  . to make matters worse it's got those same 2 1/2 inch traction / lift bars up under the front springs :screwy: .

maybe they are desinged to slip over the original body mount and that is to keep it centered? Could work that way, I would trust it though. I once used hockey pucks for a 1 inch body lift. lol. They worked out pretty good but that was back when I was 15 and still learning whats what.

problem I have with those things, besides the fact that they might be able to slip around under the body but think about what happens when you take a round tube thats only 3/16" thick all the way around and put that on a sheet metal floor pan. Ive seen body mounts crack open with the stock mounts let alone to stick a thin walled tube underneath your rig. I would never put something like that on my truck. I wouldnt think the tube would collapse (if it is indeed DOM) but all youll end up with is a body that looks like swiss cheese. I could just imagine driving down the street, hit a little bump, then CLUNK, there goes truck back to stock height again.
