Steve(the owner of the site) has decided that the Garage forum should be dedicated to vehicle-related discussions only. I think that the wide spectrum of topics in the Garage shows that almost anything goes as long as it has something to do with trucks. Heck, I post about the Rigs of CK5 calendar project because trucks DO appear on the pages of the calendar. I personally don't think that this thread is out of line, although the poster shot himself in the foot by admitting he thought the subject was off-topic........

Increased traffic or not, off-topic threads belong in the Lounge. It's that simple.

Hostility? Yeah, beater74 can be a dickhead. If he keeps it up he'll be playing flute in the band.

Last I checked, there were at least 4 guys in the flute section, 2 on trombone, and 1 lugging that big ol' bass drum way in the back. His weak little back is probably sore.......

Very well put. Im pretty new here, and yes I paid my dues. But Since then I have been able to see some awesome pics that will help me on my future builds. This place has been great, everyone is very helpful. But as with every forum, there always has to be a D-head in the bunch. But on a brighter note, pay your dues as soon as you can, you wouldnt believe the things you can learn. This place rocks!

yeah, not sure what the problem is... people need to cool off. Alternators are vehicle "tech" and therefore seem to belong just fine. As Mr. C mentioned, Steve-o has never really been nitpicky about this kind of thing. If something is completely off base, mods can move the post. The real problem I see in this thread is a) the hijacking thats going on and b) the foul language thats being thrown about with no real attempt to disguise it from innocent eyes.

yeh your all right i'm wrong for speeking up when people knowing post chitchat in the wrong forum.

thing were alot better when grimmy ruled this forum. maybe i should dig up his post explianing the rules.

and don't go around threating to ban me becuase i called out someone for post in the wrong forum. just because he has no membership.
