I bought a ARG steering box from ORD...a year ago...
I had problems turning to the left!!!

AGR tech told me....
I need to purchase there high-output pump...and ram kit...
and everything should work properly!!!

Well after pricing the parts out...
I decided that throwing money at the problem wasn't going to happen...
so I decided to call WTO!!!

Even though the box wasn't theres...
Matt was willing to help me!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
After some trouble-shooting....
Matt felt it was a pressure issue...
and gave me some tech tips...on pump MODS!!!

Well I did what he said...
and my steering is working GREAT even with my <font color="purple"> ARB </font> on!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

WTO is the place to go! I am having some trouble with the ram I bought about a year ago. I called and explained the issue with the ram to Lisa and she offered to send a new one @ no charge... Talk about customer service. I wish more companies were like WTO. Great product and Great service!

Yep, I'd have to agree. I ordered there Redneck Ram setup from them including them rebuilding my box. Had a few minor issues at first that were mostly my fault and Matt even let me call him at home at 10pm to explain to me how to fix my problems /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
i can tell you when it comes time for me to get steering stuff i'm definately gonna call matt. heard nothing but great things from people. always want good customer service. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Glad it worked out good for you. ARG is really pissing me off lately. Now they want to sue me for taking there business. SO i wrote them back and pretty much told them to EAD.
To everyone else thanks for all the kind works they are greatly apprieciated. And Lisa said thanks too.
 
Im in need of there services as soon as I find the right box.Mine was torn off the frame last weekend so it is no longer a good doner.

I am in a similar circumstance. Here is my history:

New AGR box at time of crossover
power steering probs, locking up mostly to the left

About 8 months later new AGR pump
about 10 miles and the input shaft shattered
stock pump put back on, back to square 1 with the prob

Added new PS cooler before BF-4. No better.
after running frame twister I noticed it was pulling to the left bad. Got it on safe and level ground and was preparing to get out to check when I notice that the steering wheel would rapidly spool to the left when I took my hands off!!!! This was at crawl speed in 4-lo.

So now I am sure it is the box. Called AGR, they said no luck since it is out of warranty. Even tho we have been working the problem since install. He (AGR) did offer to service the box with a minimum price of $100.

I have been so ****ing mad at AGR that this is my first attempt at a post..... /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

WTO did honorthe CK5 discount and said they would try to fix my box if/when I go to hydro-assist. I want to drive someone's hydro setup before I decide thos cuz I put lotsa road miles on the K5.


Also - thanks to ORD's Dr. Watson to take time out on his vacation in Hollister to entertain my questions!!


Hope this is not a hijack - I have this question for y'all - should I be able to get adequate PS with D60, crossover, 35-37" tires without going hydro-assist?

I think ARG SUCKs you in by selling just the box...
When they KNOW you will have a problem...

When I decide what I want they said they will help with the box and pump - another /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif and a from me!!

So your steering is twitchy? They said I could expect a delayed response.... Can you describe in more detail the differences you feel? Have you wheeled it yet? Can you bring it by my place for a test drive?? I'll buy the burgers and beer /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
