Wyoming S10 thing story - The End.

Wish you still had your doors ?
It was cold but not too bad. Outside temps were around 25 I think. Worse was when really working it and getting a snowbath from the front tires. The drive out was the coldest when the sun started going down and got a little windy. I have talked to an upholstery shop about making snap on inserts to go over the door hole, might get those made after this trip.

:sign17:.....How deep was the snow? Were you able to make it around without assistance?

I made it around all day without a hook. That last pic was were the snow got the deepest before we had to start heading back. We met another 4x4 club from Billings up there too and had lunch with them. Here is the club gallery with more pics.

I think he loaded up and wasn't square on his trailer and tried to back up/off and ended up dumping it off the trailer

Just kidding. I'm jealous of all the contests you win! You have my votes mang!

Had some inserts made to fill the half doors and ext cab window holes for the cold/bad weather days. Upholstery lady even made me a bag to roll them up into.

Those are sweet Matt.. I bet the little lady will be much happier on the snow runs.

Slid one of my rockwells under the rig today to get an idea of how well it would fit in the front. With the rock sitting at same height to center as the 60 it looks like if If threw it in there with the current setup I would only have 1-2" of uptravel max before the chunk hit the oil pan. My engine sits really low in the frame though from looking at other builds (built my own crossmember/mounts back when it was a K5 then picked up and modded a DIY crossmember later on but it as the same height as my first setup and engine and angled down from trans/cases) so thinking when I go to put the rocks in I will raise engine about 5" and lift cases up 2-3" to get rid of crossmember hanging below frame and possibly lift truck maybe a 1" and that should get me the 5-6" uptravel I would like to have. Probably slide engine to drivers side an inch or two from center too for better front driveline clearance. Already got some 14" ORI STXs on order too before the price increase at the first of the year.
Also finished up my serpentine belt swap today, so nice to steer and not have the PS belt guitar string tight and still squeal.

Took it out last weekend and had a good time. Found a new rock gully and went down it and ended up on its side in it. Was able to drive it out but kissed the fender under the exo tube and above the front tire, kinda surprised it could get hit there.

Also ended up having a leaf spring center pin sheer and axle walk back at the end up the day. Found the frame cracked too. Fixed all that today. I usually check the u-bolt nuts pretty religiously but I haven't done it since our Moab trip last September. Reminder to everyone else, go put a wrench on your u-bolts!

Found a new rock wall, with it being cold and damp it was all horsepower. Also a few other random shots.

pretty cool Matt!
Looks like the exo cage gets a work out.

Decided to fix the oil leak on the front of my 203. Found a stripped bolt lower than the oil level so helicoiled it and reassembled. Took it out the next weekend and the tranny adapter broke. Inspected and found the rubber puck mounts on the doubler where pretty squished, especially the front output side. Replaced all the mounts and added a mount to support the heavy side of the 205.

Also my stock headlights sucked bad, one had gotten busted and just pointed down. Picked up some red ring HIDs. Just picked up some cheap fog lights today to install as a "low beam" for travel at night.

I've never seen this thread. It's cool to see the story behind the rig. Nice work!

Added some low beam lights to go with the HIDs and a LED bar.

Is that a rigid, procomp or TWF led bar? Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

Its a Hanma light bar. Took it for a short drive down a county road last night. Really lights up in front of you but not uber long range but it is the 60 degree flood pattern.

We went to the Black Hills, SD and did some wheeling over memorial day. Don't have many pictures of my rig yet, need to get with ssyork and roudy yates and share our pics still. Here are a couple pics and a video of the waterfall.
