Ya ya, I know it's not a GM. But the suspension, and most of the drivetrain will be(eventually). Bear with me the pics will be slow.

IT's a 1973 1210 3/4. It's got 392,4spd w/ divorced np 205. Plans are swap it over to front disc brakes( Have parts truck, axle alraedy pulled). Get it mobile for now. Then switch the suspension over too chevy stuff, keep it mild on 33's or 35's. It's gonna be more work truck than play toy, for now.

2 wheel drive springs are longer and will give you a little more lift and you can stay all IH lol

NICE there used to be one of those running around and for sale when I was 14 in Early. By the time I was 16 it was long gone. Definatly sweet trucks.

wow not much rust for a Binder in MN lol what part of MN do you live??

Here's the parts truck. stripped of what i need for now. And my flat top 44:D.

Very cool  I always liked the old Binders . I guess sooner or later I will have to start a build thread on the 58 Willy's wagon I'm building for my dad. Basicly a Willy's frame and body and everything else is GM. :D

Just about as far south as one can. I-90 and Hwy 71. It's supposedly from Wyoming. It is very clean, why i got it. Couldn't find a decent chevy for the same money. So , screw it. I like being different anyway.

As far a lifting it. I 've been doin research on all the International boards. There isn't a whole lot of info out there specifically for the trucks ,travel-alls, mostly the Scouts.

With the little i have found out, i think Chevy stuff will pert-near be a bolt in affair.

The front springs are shorter, but there are provisions in the frame for the leaf springs of the 2 wheel drive truck. Making a 48" chevy spring bolt in, even keeping the wheel centered in the wheel well.

As for the rears, they are 52" or 51.6787987, which should pass as a 52".

ah wyoming truck well that makes sense .

I'm from the opposite corner I grew up on Lake Superior up near the Border

Chevy springs work but the are a little bit wider a Chevy 60 will bolt in with a bit of finess

and as far as I know Travelalls share the same front suspension layout as the trucks

So with that here's my first request. Cam some one measure their 52" springs( Distance from the bottom of spring to the imaginary line running from eye-let to eye-let)?

I need to figure out whichones i need to get. 4" or 6".I'm not even sure if these are different springs than GM. Any help is appriciated. I'll get better pics tomorrow.

The last photo is too show what kids do when they have a truck. I remeber when i thought crap like that was cool:doah::haha:

well IH springs have a positve arch in them from the factory........ so I would guess you would need a 2" lift chevy spring to equal the stock arch of the IH springs

Well it turns out International has about 0 aftermarket support for non Scout stuff. I need to either find some 3/4 ton Chevy hubs or swap to my dana 60:mad:. ****ty part is i already have the ball joints and what not ready to install. I'm ****in pissed.......

I just got on here and found this thread for the day and will tell you straight up that I could have told you from the start not to expect anything on the market for these old trucks.

I have never seen anything offered way back in the late 80's either. Nothing thru the 90's, too.

With this particular truck, you're on your own with fabbing stuff to see what hits and fits. This will make it an interesting build. I've been dreaming of finding an older truck and converting it to 4wd if it doesn't have it already. All fabricating, etc.

I knew the aftermarketis not a broad as a Chevy. But frikin axle parts are non exsistent or super expensive. It's a dana 44 like every other thing out there.

i seen and read on ih front axles thay use 8 spindle studs compared to our 6 on chevy and 5 on fords.

to make stuff super easy i would just swap to 2 gm axles and be done with it. 60 front and old eaton would be nice for the reao or the good old 14ff if you cant find 1.

If you need a Chevy 44 just say the word. I've got one with a blown center section.
