I replaced my sender and pump about a year ago when I did my engine. Hasn't been correct yet. It works until about 1/2 and doesn't move much from there. I have seen it drop below 1/2 to about 1/4 once or twice for a few seconds when I was backing out of the drive way. But it went back up to 1/2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

I have had success with taking the sendr out and cleaning it, it had carbon buildup and sludge, worked fine after that.

Ground the sender wire for the gauge with the key on, see what happens. Then leave it open, and see what happens. GM says you need to give the gauge a few minutes to respond.

Had a similiar problem with my brother's Blazer. Ended up being a bad ground connection. The wire itself was actually bad.
