OK, I am getting ready to do the roll cage. I have scavenged every pic I could find searching through all the past posts. I have pics from TrustyK5, Jekbrown, etc. Here is what I really need. Pics of how people did their dash bar, straight or bent, Pics of a cage that runs all the way to the back, pics of seat mounts incorporated into the roll cage and good pics of the cab area. I will be mounting my seats to the roll cage, but they are the recliner type. So, I won't have the bar across the back just behind the seats. I will be retaining my rear seat for the rugrats. I will go all the way back to the rear tailgate. I will be welding the plates down and then Line-X'ing the whole interior. Any more pics would be appreciated.

PM'd you - then realized that some of the photos might be confusing. So some notes. I also wanted to retain reclining seats, so no bar behind. The seat brackets are welded to the cage and the cage is bolted to the floor at the stock locations

I added a deck to integrate into the cage but also allow for the deck to be removable so I can put the back seat in if I want. That's why you see some tube across the bed floor - the rear seat bolts to them. You can also see where the deck cross pieces are bolted to the cage along the rails that skim the top of the wheel wells.

The tube spanning the dash area is straight.

I dont have any pics of the tubes that go from the bars that go down the side to the other side of the truck for the seats. I am far from done but this is what I have right now.

Anybody do a bent bar across the dash instead of a straight one? I could swear I've seen one on here before......

:D I will be bending mine in a few hours. It is the last main bar I have to bend for my cage. Here are some pics.

Hard to tell by this picture but mine goes through the Dash with no bar going across.

I will try to get some new pics tonight.

Cage looks AWESOME Wayne. Do it all alone? What ar eyou using to weld?

Thanks. Yes I am doing it myself. I have a Miller 175 here at the house.

My front bars will be changed eventually. I am going to pull the windshield and drop them through the dash. I just didn't have time to do that now, plus when I do that I want to redo my e brake to a hand lever.

Gonna make the Carlisle deadline? Not sure if I'm going for the weekend but definetally make a day trip at the least.

That is a good looking cage as it sits now. I like it. Ideas for mine now.

Thank you. If you look close you will see that the bars follow the roof along with the dash. Be forwarned, it is a ton of work.

Perfect everyone. That is what I needed, especially that dash one Wayne. Thanks.

Your welcome. Just to let you know, I bent the cage with a Pro Tools 105 bender but the dash bar and upper roof bars were bent on my cheapo Harbor Freight bender for kicks. I ground out the 1 1/4" die a bit to fit the tube and then I welded some flat plate to the rollers. The reason for the plate was because the rollers don't roll, they just dent the tube. After the Carlisle show I am going to play with the Harbor Freight bender some more and try to do a 180* bend.

In case anybody is wondering why the back is so short here is the answer. My wife and I have 3 kids that all go with us. It will be a little hard for them to get in but once they are it is like they are in a cacoon. Also my spare is going to lay flat behind the rear seat, then I am going to have a rack above it for my tool box and coolers. The rack will be hinged so it will lift to get the spare out.
