Just bought a 454 and a parts truck from a guy. The motor he said came from an RV and plan to drop in the Blazer. When it showed up it had this York compressor on it… Before I get too excited, anyone know if this will work as an air compressor? Took a pic of the tag. Got busy and didn’t take anymore pics. Can get more tomorrow

Please post up a few pics of the mounting brackets - always interested in seeing what/how different companies mount them up.

Like said up above the 210 is the one to use - getting your motor with the best version of the Yorks and the mounting brackets to go with it is a true home run!

I'm definitely interested in the mounting for the York. If I recall I think someone had made a kit to install these on V8s. I have a York left over from a VW that I parted out. Have yet to install it.

Just reminding ya to post up some good pics of the York compressor mounting brackets.

I am wondering if they are different positioning than this high mount air compressor setup used on a tall deck big block?

Here's how I mounted mine already 15 years ago...I used the passenger side bracket from a 90 BBC serpentine, and then the drivers side I mounted the york custom. I had to use the back 6 ribs of an 8 rib pulley to get it to fit and align with the factory pulleys and keep it tucked in front of the cylinder head.

I made the two fittings myself out of steel pipe and flat plate, and used a breather as an air filter. The inlet is a little larger than the outlet.

Very nicely done!

an Edlebrock 1902, that could be a great carb if hasn't been mistreated.
I think I’m gonna just drop this motor in the Blazer like it is and see what happens. lol. Maybe do a test start on an engine stand first and change gaskets.
I have another car id like to put the current vortec 350 in.

Good pics.

I’m wondering if there is gonna be a hood clearance issue in a non medium duty square?

How will you repair the broken intake fitting?
