I have inline carbon filters at the tanks for that.

Well the tank is around 11 gallons depending on what website calculator I use.
Diameter is around 9.5"
Length is about 35"
New problem though...
There are no mounting brackets on the tank. Am I safe to weld on the tank?
If so I will put mounting brackets where I need them, if not what can I do to safely mount the tank?

... get clearance for the OBA or the power steering reservoir or something?

I knew that comment was coming
I can't weld sheet metal for crap. thicker I am pretty good at.
I had to get a vertical water neck so that the rad hose did not go directly into the York. That made the hose hit the breather housing....so I cut it and welded in a piece of sheet metal from a washing machine.
I am starting to consider mounting the tank in the bed. Than I could do it without welding on it. But I would much rather it be in the area where a passenger side gas tank would go....
But if I could then straps would work I think.Good Point. I thought about doing a bracket like I drew but instead of 3 weld points just add a piece of bent flat stock.....
I don't really have a way to bend it in a circle though......short of beating it in shape using the tank...But if I could then straps would work I think.
Where did you get the straps for yours?

Cool, Any close up pics on how you welded all-thread to it, or how the strap is attached (welded?) to the angle iron?
... lessee what I can rustle up. Four pix, NOT resized as I usually do for public consumption ... no comments about my welding, as I have gotten better. I hope
