Will the hardtop still fit??

Nope hardtop won't fit anymore. Soft top or no top from now on!!!

A few thank yous are in order.

First and foremost my wonderful wife for letting me spend loads of money, some of which I haven't even earned yet.

Secondly CK5, without this site and all of you I wouldn't have come up with all the mods I drempt about.

Steve (Colorado K5): write ups on products with testing and the site and having blazer bash which is a big reason why I built the jimmy.
Off Road Design: Shackle flip, shackles, springs, bushings etc.
Old Yeller: Screamin deal on rims and tires
k5 nutt / azblazer: gas tank skid
DIY4X: staked cage floor plates, small gussetts, tire carrier, tube rings
for mounting the seats
WFO Concepts: lots of advise
Blue torch fabworks: lots of advise
Hartley Truck and Tubing: Cage, sliders, bumpers
Concept Auto body: Body, paint, and fabwork
PRP: Seats
RCI: Harnesses
LMC: Various stuff
Jegs: Various stuff
Summit Racing: Various stuff
D & S Enterprises: Towing, shop space, welding, plasma cutter, fabwork, machining wierd parts at the drop of a hat.
EMJ Steel: tubing and rectangular metal for sliders
Welfelt Machine: Steel
More will be added as I remember.

If this isn't proper please have the mods remove. Thanks.

Your build up really is sweet.

The cage is the nicest I’ve seen. I didn’t see the gussets in your previous posts. Kind of a cross between a super high-tech safety device and a demonic contrivance for slicing appendages off when you roll!

In all seriousness… very nice job. Congrats! :waytogo:

:waytogo: That is sweet! I can only hope mine looks half that good! How about some engine, undercarraige shots.

Natually I dig the flames to accent the roll cage! :waytogo: Looks awesome thanks for the specs and the pics. :D

That is friggin' awesome!!!. I know that just being able to see it the way it is now helps you forget about the blood, sweat, and tears it took to build it( Notice: I didn't say money, you never forget about that). You did one heck of a job.
How soon till we have pics of it on the rocks, mud etc.?
I noticed the tailgate said Chevrolet, was that swapped?

k5baby: Still got a couple things to play with before I can really romp on it. Need to add fluid capacity to the hydro assist steering, Little better alignment, add some steel collars around the bolts going thru the steering arms for added strength. Wiring :( , Who needs working taillights anyway??Yep tailgate is swapped, I also used the doors, and hood off the same pickup. At blazer bash 03 I was giving somebody with a blue and rhino lined, 70 or 71 jimmy crap for having a chevy tailgate on a jimmy and trying to cover it up with a tire carrier. ;) :doah: :o :o :o

Got Labs: undercarriage shots I can do!! Engine shots:o Good thing there is a hood to cover up that ugliness. Only mods under hood are one wire alternator, HEI, Accel super coil, intake, and edelbrock 600, and one ugly wimpy engine. (however, there is a modified 355 small block at a friends shop that is waiting for me to give it a cam and some heads, and maybe fuel injection. :wink1: As I said before more mods to follow!!

71 Resto Rod: Yep I tried to pick places that flesh would hopefully not come into contact with if the unforseen occurrs. Hmm If I paint them red would that help???? Oh I know I will just mount the fire extinguisher and first aid kit near the flame gussetts. Yeah that'll work!!:haha:
