Hey mudfrog, I know the place your talking about I have been there and you are right about the lift kits, he doesn't have a clue. Like you said he will get you everytime, and if you don't spend the money there you might as well walk in and talk to the wall, the response is better. I have also had problems with Auto x-tras on 221 in lynchburg they have screwed me twice so no more there. Get me once shame on you get me twice shame on me.

How close are you to Roanoke? I think I've been in that place in lynchburg a couple times, if it's the one I'm thinking of they do car stereo's and sun roof's also. Let me know when your gonna be in Roanoke or Lynchburg next time and maybe we can meet up.

If you take 460 to lynchburg when you will come to a wal-mart right on 460 and if you take 122 south about 13 miles you are right at me. I am only 13 miles from bedford so me and wingnut are almost neighbors!!! Yeah that would be cool to get together some time. I am only about 18 miles from lynchburg and it takes me about 30 minutes to get to roanoke from here.

The local POS 4x4 shop here in central Ohio sucks a$$.Way over priced in parts and labor and the WORST customer service i have ever seen anywhere.They have never ever been in any hurry to help me or anyone i know who has gone there.I have nothing but bad things to say about this place.(This is from personal experience).I bought the Poly sway bar bushing kit from them and one of the bushings tore during install (actually in my hand) and they said "we cant do anything about it, you will have to buy a complete new set".I then asked for the manager there and he said same thing,or to call the manufacturer for a replacement.So I did and the guy at the manufacturer said WTF? They said what?I"ll send you a new set free of charge no questions.He also said he was going to call the shop and rip someone,dont know if he ever did.GRRR and two years before this, they lifted a Bronco for me.They charged me almost twice of what they originally said it would be and kept it twice as long as they said they would.Yeah i understand unforseen problems but these mofo's do this $hit for a living.Anytime i need anything 4x4 performance for my truck, i go strait to the manufacturer now.I refuse to go to these people ever again.
The main beef i have with these people is there piss poor customer service.The place is called Trails West and is owned by one big happy inbred(sp?) family.Later...

Ours caters to the yuppie crowd. me and a friend went in with a old chevy 4x4 he was restoring and wanted to spend some serious money on it, they looked at it and said in so many words that the truck wasnt worth what he was wanting to do to it........ so he went to another shop .... paid out the a$$ for the wierd stuff he wanted and went back and showed the manager what they missed I thought he was going to have a heart attack..... he kept stuttering that he thought my friend was just price hunting ........ he shoulda been more polite.
