Who makes an adapter, or, What would be required, to put an SM465 behind a 2.2 (from a '95 S10)????

I'm serious about this....I've got some ideas rolling around.

You'd need an adapter from a 60 degree v6 to a v8 pattern. I'm sure they are out there.

I think that would be a bada$$ setup for a little buggy or something of the sort. I think there is quite a bit of aftermarket supprt for the 2.2.

2.2's suck.

Just because there is an aftermarket (stupid J-body owners) doesnt mean that it's ok.

But to each his own.

I'm thinking, with a doubler, torque would be sufficent enough.... And, the parts truck I just picked up (I drove it up on the trailer) has a running 2.2 in it. In liu of fabbing in a 350, at least at this stage in time, it would be easier to run a motor that the frame and truck are already set up for.

So....if I did a 2.2/465/203/205 and 4.10's with 38's, I think it would be plenty torquey.

<----- Confused easily

Meant the only 4 cylinder available from 94 up....

Most all 2.2 s10s if not all had 4.10s stock. 2.2s are not bad engines you can beat the hell out of them and there is headers and storkers and turbos and all kind or stuff to do to them, 2.3 quad 4 TB swap is common they are bigger and fit right. Same internals as the 2.2 cavi engines so there alot of aftermarket internals from the ricer demand.

Or, from what I understand Jeeps used the same bellhousing pattern as the 60 degree v6 which should be the same as the 2.2. There may be a jeep bellhousing out there that will literally bolt it. The pilot bushing and clutch however is a different story.

Try calling advance or novak or the like. I'm sure it can be done.

your joking right? a doubler with sm465 weighs about 450 lbs( not pausitive correct me if I'm wrong). I know you said your serious but I honestly think your wasting time and money. The throws on the sm465 aren't short at all...and with a doubler you'd probably never get over 15 mph if that. Now if your making a crawling buggy then I could see it but I saw the two words go and cart. Might want to think about 4.3 though if you want the sm465 because by the time that power gets the wheels with a 2.2 that thing will be a turd... won't move without being in low and won't move very fast in low. I know the sm465 has a low first and second but definetly not go cart material.

The guy asking the "?" is not who said go cart.
Plus, its no different than a 'yota w 22r + Marlin.

big94, is said S10 an auto or stick right now? If it is a stick why not use one of the NP231 doublers behind that? That might be easier/faster and still get things good and low. Or is the S10's manual crap?

Ah, that little tid-bit changes things. I thought he sold it all.
