I have my lock out hubs almost in but the outside snap rings on both sides will not go in. Any suggestions? Thank you20180424_171045.jpg

Pull on the free end, it is a spring and will collapse as you pull on it. May have to push it in with other hand. if you have a snap ring on axle, you may need to push axle back.

there isnt any pressure on the stub axle snap ring , seems like i need the assembly to push in just a tad bit more. i tried using a 10" c clamp to compress it alittle more

Are those stock 60 hubs, if so there is something wrong behind them? Does the the stub shaft move at all or is it solid? Does the hub turn freely on the spindle?

I can't see the picture, but if you are talking about the snapring that goes on the stub axle you often have to pry the shaft out a little. Take a screw screwdrive or small pry bar where the u-joint ears are inside the steering knuckle and pry the shaft outwards a little. Shouldn't take much force or have a lot of movement, but the natural force of putting the lock hub body on tends to push the shaft back in some. I have to do this all the time with either my previous 10-bolt or current D60. It's also usually worse if you put on new stubshaft seals (the ones that goe on the back of the stub and help seal the shaft to the back of the spindle.

The picture is showing the outer larger retainer ring that fits in the slot on the hub.

Yeah, if you can't push the whole thing in by hand, something is wrong. You should have 1/8"-3/16" play or so

was there a set of gm original drive slugs in this before ? if so did you remove the spacer tube that holds the slug out to the end of the stub shaft . ? ? ?

Well guys i finally got it, the hubs are solid axle forged hubs, yukon 4340 35 spine stubs, stage 8 locking set, and the yukon hardcore hubs.

Well inquiring minds would like to know, what was the problem you solved??:cool::cool:
