Zero Rates and Axle Location

Pictures? Please...So the spring pack is not centered on the perch and you drilled a hole?

The spring pack is centered side to side, but the way you move it is to bolt the zero rate from one of the different holes. Its like bolting up another leaf, but if the leaf had a spring perch pin in it and you mounted it forward.

If you look at the second pic I posted, see how the bolt in the middle of the plate is offset? The "nipple" stays in the middle of the zero-rate, and the nut for that bolt is in the middle recess on the top of the zero-rate. Then you bolt up the springs in on of the offset holes which has a recess in the bottom of the zero-rate. The reason its okay to use, even though its not great to look at, is because the ubolts clamp everything to gether and keep it from moving.

thanks you're helping alot. atleast now I get the setup of them. now I just need to get over the way the spring flexes. I still don't know if I'm even going to use them for sure. I may be able to get away with just ALOT of trimming. But even so at this point in my build it'll be fun to play with them a little.

OK, I think I got it, that little drawing helped out a ton, thanks. One more question, wouldn't the center pins need to be cut real short and the through bolts (little silver ones in the picture) need to be longer, assuming the leaf pack is pretty thinck?

mtnman210....with 6" of lift and 38's, I hit the firewall at full flex...I want to run 39.5 TSL's which is why I am deperate to move the axle forward....
