Zimmers 64 C10

My first ever vehicle was a 64 C10. I've always liked the fender badges on the 64 the most of the 60-66 trucks. I keep thinking it would be fun to take a truck like this and make it into a trail rig.

I also kinda want to find new tires that are similar to the rear tires on this pickup for our 66. Since we're keeping it mostly original, I feel like those tires look more vintage farm truck with those. But I'd want radials for sure.

Bias ply and only one size available.

Old school mud and snow tires here. I cant believe 3 of the 4 still hold air...the 4th leaks down over a couple days.
What is the center hub diameter of the 1/2t 4wd squares? These are roughly 3-1/2, maybe just a bit bigger from eyeballing a tape measure.

What's the game plan for this one Dave? Restored stocker, hot rod, rat rod, resto mod, drag truck, or an AWD late model chassis swapped canyon carver...?

I can measure later if someone doesn’t get to it

I know 4x4 rallies will fit on it.

yup...

I have the BBC/400 combo out of the 76 CCDRW, also have a 4L80 on the shelf.
The 99-2500 4x4 is still a reliable driver...that would be cool to do a body swap, not sure about the wheelbase difference though?
A 73-87 front suspension can be put in place of the existing suspension, giving improved suspension and disc brakes.

so at this point I have no direction other than seeing if it will run/drive as is.
I need a 1bbl carb for the original 6cyl intake, just to see if it will run, after that a bunch of things to make it driveable...wiring issues, radiator, air filter, etc.

I know 4x4 rallies will fit on it.

And I give a set to @Deuling off the Maiden when I went to one tons...:doah:

Cleaned out the ashtray tonight...the mud dobber wasps had made a mud nest in it and surrounded a couple old registrations in it. I broke it apart and put some shipping tape on the papers to help preserve them. I dig finding historical stuff on a vehicle.
Only found one nickel in it...a bit disappointed in that.

You have to pay to get that done Dave?
Or do you know a guy!?

Sheriff came out no charge...she lives in the area and said she would take the request while taking her lunch.
She had a K9 unit, and her service dog was a German Shepherd, that lives with her. He don't like anybody but the officers immediate family!
She even did an inspection for licensing (road legal) even though its far from-it!
