I probably should on this one. It’s clean inside, but not as clean as my first one. So, maybe I should look into that to be safe.

It's turning out great!
Grabbed some high temp black for the manifolds. Decided to do the oil pan as well since I wasn’t able to get the staining off of it even after a short acid bath. This is call “black cauldron” from Columbia Coatings.
Did you have to watch the movie to spray that?

Final pieces mocked up. New oil pan gasket comes in tomorrow. Plan is to drop it in this week before the fam and I head to FL for a vacation.

I’m an idiot. I have 2 more intakes I can use instead of this one that’s not cleaning up well. This is the first one I dig out. Looks like it should clean up nicely.
Was finally able to stab the motor tonight. This thing fought me pretty good, but once I held my tongue right, it popped in to place nicely. It’s officially an 8.1 big block swapped Blazer!

For now it’s a mildly built th350.
Should we have a guess what lasts longer, this TH350 or @Babaganoosh 4L60E after he gets boost? Crap, maybe my 4L60E behind the 388 will go out first?

I’d say in the world of 8.1 swaps this might be the only one strapped to a TH350. And since I’ve killed a couple of those with a mild 350 small block I can say that poor TH350 may not have a long future coming up.
Anybody want to start the over/under on its demise?
Just though this but what flexplate are you using to mate up the 350 torque converter?

So funny you say that. Factory small block flywheel matches up to both. So I just reused the flywheel from the original engine. Same thing I did with the crawler.
Are they not externally balanced on a BB?
