Can you grab the tailgate for me @max 02?

I was implying that I am putting the t-case in the bed... lol

I think I can speak for a few of us here and say I am jealous (in a good way) of your builds :k5::truck::crewcab: and getting a 40x60 shop. :pimp1:

Pweeeeeeze?!
Let's be honest greg. You won't have this truck in 6 months.
This will be like the rest of the threads that you buy a crappy pile, spend a few weeks buying tires and a few miscellaneous parts and then it will go down the road.
If you have it a year from now? I'll send you 2 stickers.

Been looking for a short bed K10 for a long time. Was looking for one to restore in highschool, but stumbled on the K5 and fell in love too. You'll see, and I don't need a sticker to prove that I save squares, because in fact I do.

Saved the last one, and will save this one too.

No question about it. You are saving them. Pulling trucks from fields and getting them fixed up enough to sell, well there is something to be said about that. I don't do it because I would never sell them. Plus its damn near impossible to get people to sell Prarie dinosaurs anymore.
It just I wanted to give greg a sticker, not the 76s next owner a sticker. ;)

Text me your address and ill send you one. Just put it on the k5 instead. Lol.

If I was an appliance, I would be a whirlpool brand. So hang on tight...

Ok so I am back and forth on the true direction of this truck. The young guy in me says to lift it and run 35's, the more practical side of me wants to leave it stock on some 31x10.50's.

I'm thinking the best thing for me would be to lift it a couple inches via zero rates and 1" body pucks. Then put some nice AT 33's on the factory rally wheels and leave it alone.

Am I going to happy with that? Who really knows...but I am up for opinions on this.

And a picture cause I like pictures.

I had that blue '79 K10 shortbed and loved it stock. It had a manual trans and 350. I think it had 31s on it on the factory rally wheels and I wanted to just throw some 32/11.50s on it and go with it for a driver. Shoulda never got rid of that truck. https://ck5.com/forums/threads/1979-k10-swb.323044/

My dad had a Silver 85 shortbox scottsdale
. It had Rallies and 33 Bfg All terrains. It had factory 3 leave front springs. I really liked the look of that truck. Easy to get into and still looked very cool. It was in mint shape.

He had it for years. When he passed away I brought it home with me and had it for a few years. Our kids were just little at the time and we just never drove it. Ended up needing the money out of it for life situations and sold it. I still regret that decision!

I’ll look for pics of it.... I should have some on my computer.

I have yet to meet or talk to a single person that does not regret selling their SWB. And once I saw this was a k10, I knew it would be a forever truck.

I just don't know what route to go still.
