‘76 K10 SWB Silverado "Pops"- Off to its new home!

Mostly stock rebuild.
That wire usually has a fusible link and comes from the starter. What I would do though is run a resettable breaker like one of these from Bussman. Not sure what rating you would need and come straight off the battery and over to the breaker then that junction block. Maybe some 6 or 8 ga at least. This is a 50 amp which I bet would be plenty but they do go bigger. https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-CB1...o+reset+circuit+breaker&qid=1604418692&sr=8-5

What terminal does the wire come from off the starter? The small or big one?

It just comes off the main one that the positive battery cable is attached to. They are just using the starter as another junction instead of going all the way to the battery. If I'm looking at it correctly they don't do that on the diesel and instead come off the alternator post. Thes are off a newer truck like an '86 just for reference.

Welp, I just pulled the trigger on another Classic Industries engine wiring harness for this truck too. It takes the guess work out, and makes everything more manageable. I loved how easy it made it on my K5, that I just don't even question it now.

Well if anyone knows of some frame horns for sale, I definitely need some. Previous owner cut these horns and possibly lowered them to accommodate for a snow plow.

So now the bumper sits a good 2-3” too low.

Any future plans for a winch? I had a brush guard / 8274 on my'80 and those brackets cracked at the inside of the 90* bend, small triangle gussets welded on each side fixed them right up.

Like you don’t know.
I'm honestly not sure. I mean I get people asking for fake headlight stickers frequently so that popped into my mind first. I was trying to figure out what he'd want a fake headlight sticker.
