Im experimenting with a pixilated camo look. Can you see it?

Something like this but better.

I wish Mikey The Beast would come paint my junk.


Anybody have any thoughts or opinions?

Should I just keep the current grey primer camo or switch to desert tan?

Either way the spots will evolve with trail damage. They become more horizontal as the years go by.

I beg to differ. Magpuls first unimog was two tone and fuggin bad ass! If I ever get to that point with my truck thats what Ill be doing

I was planning to use 4 colors. Desert khaki base (sand), Dark brown (shadows), grey (rocks), and Olive drab (bushes)


I got the idea from Mntman210. It looked good when it was first done. When we ran into him in the desert he hardly had any paint left. His body is beat to sh!t.

I'll practice some more and try to come up with something simple.

Yes sir, it's a khaki base, pixel brown low, pixel olive drab high, a little more khaki, and finished with diagonal pixel black.

This is a photo of the mountains in JAMUL taken from the calendar shot.


Notice the mountains on the lower are brown, the mountains above are OD, and khaki everywhere in between.

I'm still going to try other desert scenes before the big decision. The terrain changes so much there could be several different "desert camo" patterns.
