‘82 GMC “Junkyard JIMMY” {Build bash Rebuild}

actually In n Out has now expanded outside of CA. the last few years. There in AZ and NV. I think. Sorry Paul, Im using the axle. especially after unloading that 400lbs monster out of the bed of my truck! To get it out I used an old tv cabinet, and some old particle board. I backed up the truck into the grass, set the axle on the particle board in the bed of my truck. slid it outta the bed onto the cabinet. then kept pushing it out till it crushed the cabinet and fell in the grass! Good times! did I mention it was about 110 at 8 oclock at night. Sweaty good times! :D

Looks delicious and nutritious!! An express ticket to the bathroom. If I'm ever out that way I'll have to be sure to try In and Out. :D

I gave JIMMY the Royal treatment today.
Oil,tranny fluid, cleaned the carb & air filter, found a few loose/missing bolts etc.

Meanwhile...My GF bought me a front locker.:whistle:

mine leaks fast enough, I just keep filling it, no changes needed.:waytogo:

Congrats on the locker, she's looking for a ring.:haha:

Sounds like you've found a keeper for sure there Pblaze. You know what they say - the way to a man's heart is through his front diff.

She is a keeper, I just can't afford the ring she deserves.

BTW...

...I bought a new Blazer today::whistle:

:haha:

Are you going to paint it up to match yours? That would be awesome.

I had to max out the old credit card to get the ring my wife deserved, btw. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I tell my wife she's wearing a 30-06, a springfield .45acp, remington 870, a 454, a set of 40's and a months pay, cause that's a what I sold to put the right rock on her finger, there will always be more guns and truck parts, you gotta sacrifice for the right girl :thumb:

I installed the front locker today.
It works but sucks to drive in 4wd around the neighborhood on the street. Trying to make a sharp turn is hard as the tires are trying to drive in 4 different directions at once.

I can pop it out of 4H on the fly & make the turn in 2wd, then pop it back in 4H but is that bad?
The owners manual said it is fine but that was with automatic locking hubs & an open diff.
Anyway it's going to be nice on the trail.

I think it will be a little easier to make turns in the dirt than it is on the pavement. I'm sure you'll love it once you get out on the trail. :D

I'm heading up to Big Bear tomorrow. I'm gonna meet up with ChickenRammit & some others for a meet & greet trail run.

I'm excited about getting out but nervous about breaking something.

Calender pics coming soon...

Big Bear John Bull Trail

DSC01784.JPG... my locker worked awesome!

DSC01793.JPG...JIMMY decided this place would be as good as any to flush my coolant system. I had a leak on my lower radiator hose. Supermotard confirms that my oil is still purple.

DSC01796.JPG...I managed to wedge my exhaust between my tire & a rock.

Right after I got my rig cooled down Chickenrammit broke his rear driveshaft. He knows the trail best & he said we need to turn around so we turned back for the second time today.
DSC01807.JPG The Jeep made it the farthest that day.

DSC01795.JPG At this point I don't know who is pulling who.

DSC01808.JPG I made it to the trail head and found my exhaust pipe rubbing my tire. Too hot to touch I tugged it with my strap.

DSC01812.JPG I took a dirt road back to my camp. It was a long drive through the mountains.

DSC01814.JPG The end of a very long day of wheelin on some tough trails. :waytogo:

Thanks to the guy's that came out. I had fun.

...Oh, I didn't mention the first time? We went up the first trail where we found a dozen Humvee's broken down on the trail.:eek1: Really!! We couldn't get around them so we turned around.

No they were street hummers. H3's in the front, H2's in the midle, H1's in the rear. I think out of the dozen only 3 made it w/o breaking down.
