I had a blast on the trail today. We hit some killer rock gardens and saw amazing views.

boy that paint scheme, or whatever it is, sure plays with the eyes. Hides everything too!!

Nice pictures.
Next pics I'm guessing will be of a huge MUD truck lol. Not sure what's out in TX.

Great scenery and fun trails. Can't beat it. I'm sure you'll find something just as good near your new home.

As far as the paint goes I've had a few people actually run up to me just to say they think it's kewl. Some people actually touch it and think it's textured.
I think it's funny. They'll ask if it's carbon fiber or fiberglass.
I tell them it's just spray paint and laugh.

It's really not that great, there is some purple showing from Supermotard750's old paint job. I hit a rock and the impact resistant Bondo did it's job but showed the doors true colors.

I really wanted to hit the trail with you while I'm down here.
We're moving to a vacation home down at the beach.
I'll be around at least 2 more months.
I want to hit another trail or 2 before I go.

I want to try Axle Breaker at Corral Canyon OHV at least one more time before I go.

Great scenery and fun trails. Can't beat it. I'm sure you'll find something just as good near your new home.

There's an OHV park about 1.5 hr away from Dallas. I'll be sure to check it out.

This weekend I get to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm heading to Tennessee to visit my dad. Take about great scenery!

Anyhoo...

I got the shop packed up in containers. The movers are coming and they are taking all my stuff and storing it for the next 2 months.
Meanwhile I will only have my trail tools and Zombie Kit.

Whoa!!! It's the end of an era. New adventures in your future. Can't wait to visit Texas and see what kinda of wheeling there all about!

I remember seeing some stuff about a place called Katemcy Rocks in TX. It looked like an awesome place.

JIMMY storage

I put the JIMMY at a friends place out in Jamul , CA
It seems fitting since that's where I took my calendar shot. :D

I'm really concerned about field rats and wild fires they both seem pretty common around there.

2 months and counting. :deal:

It still runs and is trail ready. I'll be sure to hit the trail soon.

The largest off road park in Texas (as far as I know) is in Marble Falls Texas, Hidden Falls Adventure park. The one an hour away or so from Dallas may be the same as the one where Rednecks with Paycheck will be held on Sept. 18th.

I was going to put the full doors and hard top on but the movers took it to storage.

I heard about an off road park near Dallas. Thanks for the input. I'll be sure to check it out.

Pblaze '82 K2500 JunkYard JIMMY {end of an era}

My calendar pic redux. Same spot, different specs,

The battery died on my phone, I could only take a few photos.
I had a good time.

I'm back at it. I had to live in a vacation home for the last couple months while all my stuff was in storage.
We made the move to Dallas.

JIMMY fits in the garage and Big TeX fits in the driveway too.

I'm still organizing my tools. I'm going to pick up some peg board and build a few more shelves. I could use more work bench space too.

On my last wheelin' trip I heard the district sound of a ball joint popping and clicking.
After a quick inspection I confirmed that the upper ball joint on the driver side needed to be replaced.

After I started the tear down the first thing I noticed was I broke ANOTHER front axle shaft.

We all know the definition of insanity and most of you already know I may be slightly insane.
So this time I decided to go a different route and buy a complete brand new Splicer assembly.

I got the new Ball joint installed and now I'm waiting for my new axle shaft.

I know, not very exciting but that's where I am.
Next I want to paint my full doors and hard top to match the Camo pattern and install them.

If anyone is interested in the back story about why I moved and the road trip here I posted a thread in the situation room about it.

Long story short I retired from construction and now I am Perusing a career in automotive restoration and fabrication. I'm looking at schools in the area and plan to start classes soon.
